Tim Klein is a stills and motion photographer who captures and creates joyful moments of connection in stills and motion.
My photography is inspired by people, places, and the little things around me. My background in photojournalism taught me to find beauty everywhere—whether I’m exploring the world or just hanging out in my backyard.
Light is what really captivates me. It can change everything! I love how morning light looks through fog, the bold shadows at noon, the soft glow on cloudy days, and that stunning rose hue at sunset.
I enjoy the rush of run and gun shoots — I also love working on bigger stills and motion productions. Capturing real emotions and creating a sense of intimacy is the goal, whether it’s a candid moment or a more produced shoot. I’m based in Chicago but travel a lot.
